Temporary Dressing Table

At the moment mine and my brothers bathroom is being updated so yesterday I had to clean all my makeup/ beauty products out of the bathroom and find a new home for them, for the next month. Firstly I separated the products I regularly used from the ones I didn’t. I had a good old clear out and stored away all the things I didn’t use regularly into a huge box. Next I put all my shampoos, body wash and all the things I needed for the bathroom, into another box which is now being stored in mums ensuite which Ben and I are now going to have to share with her for the next month. Now …. Makeup! Mum said I wasn’t allowed to keep or do my makeup in her bathroom because there just wasnt going to be enough room for both of us in the morning. So this is when I created my own little bathroom/ dressing table ontop of my chest of draws. So I thought I would give you a Little tour and some tips about temporary storage.

Firstly on my chest of drawer I have my  usual Jewlery storage plus I have added bits and bobs from the bathroom including, all my body moisturisers/ deodorants, my contact lenses, Hairbands/ hair clips and of cause my makeup with my brushes and mirror.

Firstly on the left hand corner I have set up a little Jewlery stand and earring pot to neatly keep all my necklaces and earrings. My Jewlery stand is from Oliver Bonas and I made the pot in DT when I was about 12. It’s an elephant!! (OMG sorry I know it needs a dust) You also might see that there are just some pieces laying on the top, these are my most worn peices of Jewlery and are just cute decoration. There is also a very cute robin key ring from accesorize which I got one Christmas.

Next I decided to recycle the large Vaseline tin and keep all my contacts and large hair clips in. I  think this is rather quirky and very unique so I love it!!!!!

Next  is this deco patch cat which I made at work. I work in a little art shop and when this cat came into The store I knew I needed to make it because it is perfect for your hair bands or brackets. It is also unquie because you have made it! It adds another dimension and a pop of colour.

Also on the right hand side, I have made a small collection of my regular loctions and potions!! As well has my galsess’ two pallets and my I LOVE NY m&m’s!!!

Next onto makeup ….. This is the more exciting bit!! I Simply have a cute tin which I am keeping all my everyday makeup in. Next to this I have my mirror and then I pot, which I also made, with all my brushes in.

I think that’s all for now

Jewlery, Jewlery, Jewlery

I absolutely LOVE Jewelry and i own way too much of it. My mum is always telling me, before I leave the house to go shopping, “don’t go and buy anymore jewelry.” But I do – I just can’t help it. Accessorize is the place to go if you r a jewelry lover like me! Here are some of my favorite items …

  1. Turkish Eye necklace – this was not actually from Accessorize (which is surprising) but it is actually from Turkey, Istanbul. They have hundreds and thousands of jewelry shops there selling loads and loads of beautiful gold and silver necklaces, brackets, earrings … you name it and they will have it. I saw this necklace though and fell in love with it! It is so simple but so elegant at the same time. It is my everyday necklace because it goes with everything and brightens up any outfit. It is silver and I think it was about £20, which is a bargain because I know I will be wearing this for years to come.
  2. Hanging Leaf – I got this necklace last year for Christmas and I have not stoped wearing it since. It is beautiful and from accessorize. it is simply a long hanging necklace with a rather large but delicate silver leaf on the end of it. It goes with high neck tops and most of my dresses too. It’s perfect if you need something to brighten up an LBD!!
  3. Golden ring bracklet – I didn’t know what to call this one so named it ‘Golden ring bracklet’ because it is a blue rope with lots if gold rings threaded on it. Again this is my eveyday bracklet and it is one the deputy head of taken off me before. I never wore bracklets before I got this one because I couldn’t get them on or take them off!!! But this one is easy because it doesn’t have a clasp. Likewise it’s from accesorize and I think it was around £8.
  4. Silver flower earrings – These are my most worn pair of earrings because you can dress them up or dress them down. Personally I like to wear them with a messy pony tail for a smart-casual occasion. I wore them pretty much eveyday of the Christmas holidays and now school is approaching, I’m going to be sad to leave them behind. These are actually from Santa Fe in America and they were from my grandparents who live there. I think they are so pretty and unique!!
  5. The statement gold necklace – I have saved this one for last because out of all the jewellery I own, this is my absolute favourite and I only wear it in special occasions. This is, to your surprise, from accesorize and I got it from my mum last year for Christmas. I think it was around £18. Which is well worth it’s money I think because I have worn it so many times and it looks way more expansive than it actually is. It looks great with any LBD because the gold really constants again the black.  It is very modern and unique but it still looks gorgeous and classy at the same time.

If you are having a hard time with school, friends, family or just feeling down, then I have one word of advice for you . . . SMILE!!!! Yep just SMILE. It seems like a simple thing but if you smile it does cheer you up and make you feel better. (there is some science behind it all but I don’t know what it is) so if you are feeling down now or even if you are not just smile to yourself and see how you feel.

It is my best friends and I’s thing, because we always say SMILE to each other in person or over text, with a really cheesy grin or lots of emoji faces, if one of us is down about something. So remember next time you are feeling down just SMILE to yourself and remember there is always something to be grateful for! Likewise say it to a friend to cheer them up, it could become your  thing.SMILE (balllons)

    5 easy hairstyles

Ok … As most of you know, I am massively into hair and I am always wearing my hair in different styles, but I thought I would share with you the easiest styles I wear all the time.

    1. Messy Ponytail –  this is probally the most common and popular way to wear your hair but I always put a twist on it.  Firstly I like to make it very messy and I do not do it too high on my head. Secondly I like to add a big messy plait going into the ponytail and and sometimes some smaller plaits to add texture to the hairstyle.
    2. Half up Half Down  – this is my go to hair style if I am in a rush and you can make this hairstyle look formal or very casual. Also this is a very pretty look too. I like to braid sections at the front and then simply pin half my hair up with a bobbin pins. It looks like you have put in loads of effort but really it is so simple!!!!!
    3. Fish Tail Plait – I know everyone has heard of this style and everyone has been wearing it but again it is such a pretty look and perfect for smart or casual. I quite often wear this for school, and so that it stays in all day I like to do a French plait round the back of my head going into the fishtail.
    4. French Plait – My mum used to do these for me all the time when I was in primary school and I have completely got into them again!! I like to wear one French plait straight down the middle and back of head (espicially for sport). If I want a more casual or pretty look I like to pull bits of hair out at the fount or have it going round to the side.
    5. Half up Half Down BUN – I LOVE this look. I think it looks so cool and casual for eveyday. It is PERFECT if you need to throw your hair up in 30 seconds and it doesn’t matter if it looks messy because it is supposed to. If I want this to look more formal, I curl just the ends off hair (which works really nicely because I have long hair)

9 Different Ways To Wear Dungarees

      Hi Guys,

I brought my first pair of dungarees from H&M a few weeks ago …. I LOVE them!!! I’m not joking, I have worn them everyday since. They were £30 which I didn’t think was too expensive considering how much use I am getting out of them. They are so easy to wear and you can match up with anything and everything.

As I am loving them so much and practically living in them 24/7, I thought I would share with you all the different ways of wearing them…

      Plain White Tee

      white top dung 2

This is the  traditional and most popular way to wear dungarees. I also think this is the easiest way to wear them too because we all own a white top which you can just pop on underneath. This is a very casual look and would be perfect for shopping to the shops in.

      Striped Top

      strip top dung 2

I have seen more and more people this season wearing striped tops under their dungarees, especially celebrities. I think it looks so cool and casual. The striped top gives more depth to the outfit and I think it looks so relaxed and perfect for summer paired with a pair of Ray bans.

Some people prefer this more than other and I must say it is not my favourite way to wear them but I think they look great on others. I do love the fact though that the dungarees are rolled up at the bottom. This is super cute! It is a very relaxed look so I would wear this maybe out to town or round to a sleepover.

      Crop Tops

      crop top dung

We al know about he crop top under the dungarees … I LOVE it! This is my favourite way to wear them because it doesn’t show your belly, just a little bit of skin at the side which I think is so cute.

      Off The Shoulders

This look is so simple but so effective and just by wearing the straps off one shoulder of both, gives you a completely different look. It is defiantly a chilled look, but if you put a patterned top underneath, I defiantly think you could wear this to a party!

      Dress / Trousers

      long dung

These are the two other options to dungaree shorts. I only own a pair of shorts but I will defiantly be buying the dungaree dress soon and if I am brave enough the dungaree trousers. Again you can pair them up with any top and they all give you different looks. you will be sorted for summer!

      Patterned dungarees

I think these are so cute and I really want to find a pair but I am yet to find any in my local town. I am heading to London soon (let me know if you want a blog post on that) and I will be keeping an eye out for some. I think with these it is best to pair them with a plain white top because the focus is on the dungarees instead of the top, unlike the denim ones.

      Bold Tops

PARTY TIME… This is how I would wear my dungarees to a party because I think it looks a bit more formal and so pretty at the same time. I also love the fact that with this look you can pair it with any bold or printed top you already own. You do not need to go and buy a new one (your bank account will love this!!!)

This is defiantly the more formal way to wear dungarees and I think I would wear this to a garden party or a more formal occasion. Again with this look you can pair the dungarees with any skirt/blouse you own. I personally think a contrasting patterned blouses would look gorgeous under denim dungarees.

Let me know what you are thinking of Dungarees this season and what you are paring yours up with.

New Beauty Products for that Natural Summer Glow

At the weekend I went into town with my bestie and we hit the high-street stores. I’ve tried them all out and here are my favourites which i have found to give me such a gorgeous summer glow…

      all products

      all produccts 2

      bronze products

I don’t know where to start but I think I have to mention my favourite one first, which is the Maybelline “Lash Sensational”. I have two favourite mascaras, one which gives a natural look (“Bad Gal” Benefit mascara) and one which gives a fuller more false lash effect (They’re Real mascara also by Benefit). Sorry Benefit, but that has now all changed. My “They’re Real” mascara has gone to the back of the draw and my new favourite is the Maybelline “Lash sensational”. I have heard so many other bloggers talk about this and I knew I had to try it and WOW … they were right! It makes my lashes twice and long and twice as full. Also it gives such a lovely curl. How does it do it? I don’t know.

These next two products are not new to the shops but I have been meaning to try them out for ages! The are the Collection “gorgeous glow” shimmer cube and the Maybelline “24hour Colour Tattoo” in the shade 35 (“On and On Bronze”) . OMG the shimmer cube is so stunning. Its gives you a gorgeous summer glow all over your face and it looks fantastic with tan  (which am desperatly trying to keep from my recent trip to Cornwall). I have also used the different sections as natural eyes shadows. The top cream shade on the cube, I have found to be an excellent highlighter for below the eyebrow too. If you are looking for a bronzer or some shimmer to wear when you are holiday I would deffinatly recommend this! To go with this, to create a bronzed summer look and I would recommend the “24hour Colour Tattoo” in the colour 35 (“On and On Bronze'”). This is by maybelline and I have found it to be so pigmented and easy to use. I have used it own its own, and also as a base and then built up layers on top of it. I simply use my fingers to apply this and it sooooo beautiful! It is the perfect shade for a natural summer glow.

(The bottom shade is the “24hour colour tattoo” by Maybelline in the shade 35 (“On and On Bronze’))

      what they look like

(The top colour the “Revlon Colourburst” in the shade 105)

Next up is the “Revlon Colourburst” in the shade 105. I am not a massive lipstick lover so I have fallen in love with the “Revlon Colourburst” sticks. My favourite is shade 105 which is this girly shimmery pink. This is now my everyday lipgloss because it is so easy to apply and build up, depending on how strong you want your lips to be that day. It is also very moisturising and doesn’t leave your lips feeling sticky at all!!! I hate lip glosses which feel sticky and gloppy on your lips so this one is perfect!

Finally, I need to rave out the new Body Shop, “Honey Bronze” in the shade 02. This is brand new to the Body shop and they have 3 colours so far… A bronzer, a highlighter and this one, a blusher. They are especially out for summer because they give you a natural summer glow and look fantastic with tan, once again. I feel like I have said that million times in this post!! Pretty much every product in the post look great with a tan! Perfect for summer! Anyway lets get back to the product … I love this blusher because it is a cream so it is great for my dry skin (doesn’t dry it out at all). Also due to its size, its easy to pop in my bag, although I have found its stays on so well throughout day, so I have not needed to top it up. The other great thing about this products is that it comes in a dome shape so I apply it straight onto my face without using a brush or my fingers. I know I will be going back to body shop purchasing the other two very shorty because think they are fantastic.

I know I will defiantly be wearing all of these products in my everyday makeup and when I go on holiday in August. let me know whether you liked this post and whether you want to see more post likes this.

      Bye, Elle   xxx
